Baby boomers have always been good communicators, as evidenced by their presence at sit-ins, protests, demonstrations and “happenings” in the 1960s. So it was inevitable that boomers would check out social media sites. The 76.5 million boomers comprise 36% of the US Internet population and one-third of online traffic on a typical day, according to the Pew Internet & American Life Project.
